Note to all

Good day,
-----Reading for understanding is an important skill that will help you through any kind of work you may do. When you have finished reading a section ask yourself, "Do I know what I just read?"
Do not wait till an assessment comes along to find out you do not understand the text.
-----You will know before anyone else if you truly understand what you read. Read again if necessary; read with purpose, read and understand. Check yourself when done, look at the questions at an end of a section. The textbook is there to give you information, not hide it. Use all the tools it contains; the index, the glossary, the notes in the margins, the captions on photographs and maps. If you still struggle, see me and we will work our way through it.
